Restoring the Glory

Restoring the Glory

Our Restoring the Glory sanctuary renovation began several years ago with the forming of the Sanctuary Design Committee.

The Sanctuary Building Committee was formed in December, 2005, and they took the recommendations of the Sanctuary Design Committee and began to compile a plan to address the concerns and needs of the congregation.

A Capital Campaign kicked off on Legacy Sunday, February 12, 2006. Our Capital Campaign raised $1.8 million in pledges over a 3 year period.

The Sanctuary Building Committee met with architects, plans were drawn up. The first phase of the renovation construction began in October 2006. The church offices were moved to the lower lever, a new library, bride’s room and new restrooms were constructed.

The congregation moved to the Fellowship Hall in December 2006 to allow renovation to begin in the sanctuary. The choir loft was lowered and a new tiered altar area was constructed. A new stairwell from the lower level to the balcony was built. Additions to the main level included a prayer chapel, choir practice room and restrooms.
