We have just finalized our spring lineup of course offerings for Wednesday Happenings. If you are not familiar with Wednesday Happenings, it is an 8-week discipleship and fellowship opportunity offered by our church. Every Wednesday from January 18 to March 17, we will meet for dinner at 5:15 and then at 6:00 attendees will go to various classes. Child care is provided and there are classes for children and youth. Click the icon to view all of the course offerings. You can even print your form and mail it to the church office or bring it by next time you come to church. It is very important that you register.
Outside of Sunday School, Wednesday Happenings in the spring and fall is the church’s largest discipleship opportunity. It’s a time to plug in and get connected. It’s a time to learn from others and allow others to learn from you, as we are all on this journey together. So once you’ve decided you are going to jump into one of our fine course offerings, it’s VERY IMPORTANT that you fill our your registration form and turn it in to the church office.
As the kitchen staff is planning the meals, they want to know how many people will be attending. Since many participants do not send in registration forms, they inevitably purchase more food than is necessary. This costs the church extra money and is not good stewardship of our resources. Also, most of our classes utilize curriculum books. These books are purchased at the beginning of the course based on the number of participants. If no forms are in, then an estimated number of books are purchased. If there are not enough, additional books must be purchased in express fashion which costs the church additional shipping. If there are too many, these extra books must be sent back to the company. While the church will get money back on the unused books, we still have to pay our own shipping.
So whether you printed it from the newsletter, the bulletin, or the website, please join us for Wednesday Happenings and help us be good stewards of God’s resources by letting us know which class you will be taking and how many we can expect for dinner.
